Roya was founded in 2019, we represent timeless pop music that’s less about the trends, or what's culturally vogue, and more about the song, the melodies, the thing that evokes a strong feeling within the listener - whether that’s joy, melancholy, or awe.

Our name derives from the Persian female name that means a premonition, a vision, a sweet dream, or fantasy. The logo, inspired by Dali’s painting “The Persistence of Memory”, featuring the infamous melting clock - surrealism feels so relevant to what we try to create. The melting clock is a symbol for our desire to disregard time in both process and experience.

We’re not ones to shout about our label, what’s important to use is that our artists are at the foreground. Our catalogue does, and will, define us. Our focus remains on the song, never the genre. We may describe our imprint Pop, but this is merely to help our listeners quickly understand what our music is. By its own definitely, Pop is modern popular music, however, trends and time is exactly what we steer away from.

Emira, Jessica Winter, Petite Noir and Redinho are the artists that represent us and personify our label, ambitions and values. Among them, they have secured recognition on BBC Radio 1’s “World’s Hottest Record”, A-List single feature on BBC 6Music, Syncs  with Pro Evolution, BBC, PrettyLittleThing.com, Redull and Sky, as well as Press coverage across The Guardian, The Sunday Times, The Independent, Fader, Pitchfork and more.

Our story has only just begun.
